基礎

  1. reading　read → reading。e で終わる語は e を取る、短母音＋子音字 1 つは重ねる、y はそのまま。
  2. イ　is playing　be 動詞を主語 My mother に合わせ、動詞は ing 形。is playing
  3. イ　Is she watching a movie?　進行形の疑問文は be 動詞を先頭に。Is she watching a movie?
  4. ア　Yes, I am.　be 動詞で聞かれたら be 動詞で答える。肯定は短縮しない。
  5. ア　I'm reading a book.　「今何をしているの」には進行形で「今していること」を答える。
  6. ウ　He is studing English.　study の ing 形は studying（y はそのまま）。

標準

  1. ウ　is playing　「at the moment」は今この瞬間（進行形）の合図。is playing。
  2. イ　I know him.　know / like / have（持っている）は状態の動詞で、ふつう進行形にしない。
  3. ア　Do を Are にすべき（進行形は be 動詞）　進行形は be 動詞の文なので、疑問文は be 動詞を先頭に：Are you studying?
  4. ウ　Two girls are reading books.　主語が複数（Two girls）なので are、動詞は ing 形。
  5. ア　I am having lunch now.　have が「食べる」の意味なら進行形にできる。be 動詞＋ing。
  6. ウ　She's taking a bath.　「今」電話に出られない理由なので、今していること＝現在進行形 is taking。is take は誤り。
  7. イ　おじいさんがベンチで新聞を読んでいる　An old man is sitting on a bench and reading a newspaper.。子どもは soccer、女の子は犬と走っている、女性は花の写真をとっている。

発展

  1. ウ　前はふだん話すこと、後は今話している最中　前は「英語を話す（話せる・習慣）」、後は「今話している最中」。現在形は習慣・事実、進行形は今この瞬間の動作。
  2. ア　making, running, studying　make → making（e を取る）、run → running（重ねる）、study → studying（y のまま）。
  3. ア　is studying　Look（今見て）とあるので、今している最中 → 進行形。
  4. ア　私は明日出発する（決まった予定）　進行形に tomorrow がつくと、決まっている近い未来の予定を表す。
  5. ウ　waiting　正しい順は Who are you waiting for?（3 番目は waiting）。現在進行形の疑問文は be 動詞 ＋ 主語 ＋ ing。wait for 〜（〜を待つ）の for は文の最後に残る。
  6. イ　He's washing the dishes.　What is 〜 doing? は「今していること」→ 現在進行形で答える。疑問詞の質問に Yes では答えない。is cook は誤り。
