仮定法（I wish / If I were） ── 解答

基礎

  1. ア　were　I wish のあとは過去形（現実と違うことなので）。be 動詞は were、can は could。were
  2. ア　had　主節に would があるので仮定法。if の中は過去形（be は were）。had
  3. イ　could　if の中が過去形（仮定法）なら、主節は would / could ＋ 原形。will は使わない。could
  4. ア　I wish I could speak French.　I wish ＋ could ＋ 原形。
  5. エ　If I were you, I would study harder.　If I were you, I would 〜。

標準

  1. ウ　(a) ありうる条件　(b) 現実と違う仮定　現在形＋will はふつうの条件、過去形＋would は仮定法（(b) は今は降っていない）。
  2. ア　If I had time, I will help you.　if の中が過去形（had）なら主節は would。
  3. エ　I wish I could　誘いを断るときの「行けたらいいんだけど」は I wish I could。
  4. エ　hope　実現しそうなことは hope ＋ 現在形／未来。wish は現実と違うこと。
  5. イ　鳥だったらいいのに（実際は鳥ではない）　I wish ＋ 過去形 ＝ 現実と違うことへの願望。
  6. ア　If I were you, I would say sorry to her.　If I were you, 〜。
  7. ア　I wish I could.　あとの「母を手伝わなければならない」から行けない → I wish I could.（行けたらいいのに）。I wish のあとは過去形（could）。
  8. エ　If I were you,　助言の決まった言い方 If I were you, I would 〜.（私があなたなら〜する）。仮定法では I にも were を使う。
  9. イ　筆者の町には映画館がない　There is no movie theater here.。I wish there were 〜・If there were 〜 は現実と違う願い（実際は映画館がない）。バスは for an hour。

  1. イ　彼の住所を知っていれば手紙を送るのだが（実際は知らない）　過去形 knew ＋ would ＝ 仮定法。実際は知らない。
  2. エ　I wish it were Sunday today.　I wish ＋ it ＋ were。
  3. イ　If I had wings, I could fly.　過去形（had）＋ could → 仮定法。他は現在形の条件。
  4. ア　more　正しい順は If I had more time, I could help you.（3 番目は more）。現実と違う仮定は If ＋ 主語 ＋ 過去形、主語 ＋ could〔would〕＋ 動詞の原形。
  5. ウ　had　No（いない）のあとの願い → I wish ＋ 過去形（had）。I wish I have は誤り。
